Golfing Initiatives

Hollandbush Golf Club is now heavily involved in the clubgolf initiative

8 members have already achieved level one coaching status.

This initiative aims to give all 9 year old children the opportunity to try the game of golf.

Aside from the sporting benefits, this will hopefully encourage the children to enjoy the game and learn the etiquette of this life long sport.

Who knows they may go on to join our Junior section, currently at only £10.

Updates and any relevant information will be posted here during the season.

Ladies new to the game

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to try the game of golf?

Do you just want to keep up with the golfers in the family?

Afraid to approach a golf club?

Over the past two years ladies of all differing standards have came along on a Thursday night to have a go and more importantly to socialise.

Our coaching team have committed time to meet the ladies up at the practice area for 1 hr, for some basic coaching advice.

There is no need for you to bring anything with you, just enthusiasm!

The coaches will provide all equipment necessary.

 Starting Thursday 17th May 2012

meet at the club house!

We look forward to meeting you.

THE 17th Swedish Golf Exchange between Clydesdale District and the City of Karlskrona took place in July 2010, with 3 members of Hollandbush Golf Club helping the Scots to a convincing 19-5 away victory.

The Scottish team was made up of youngsters from Carluke Golf Club, Hollandbush Golf Club, Kames Golf Club and Lanark Golf Club, with Hollandbush's James Donnelly, Kirstie McLeod and Greg Maxwell playing a prominent role in the win that saw joint team captain Calum Harrison hold the Viking Trophy aloft at the end.

Well done to all the team, and good luck for the 2011 team who will compete in the Clydesdale area of Scotland.

Further details of matches will be posted here later in the year.
